How to use Photoshop CS4 (PART 1)

Adobe Photoshop is the best of its kind in editing photos and images. When it comes to designing and adjusting contrast settings in an image or a photo, things will be easier if you will use Photoshop CS3 or CS4. There are a lot of people who will not agree to that because as they try to use the software it seems that it is hard to understand how to use it. That is why instead of learning how to use it they’d rather find other kinds photo editing software.

It is true that there are a lot of free photo editing software that you can find in the internet. But if you will be using free software’s that are offered, the things you can do in editing photos is limited. That is why if you are really into photo and image editing or even photography Adobe Photoshop is really required for you to purchase and use.

STEPS ON HOW TO USE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS4

Adjustment of Contrast

The adjustment will depend on what is the theme or the angle of the photo shot. If you want to make it easier for you to adjust the contrast go to IMAGE > AUTO CONTRAST or simply press Alt + Shift + Control + L. If you are not contented with the color tone go to IMAGE > AUTO TONE or simply press Shift + Control + L.

Understand the LAYERS

You will see the Layers on the right tab of the screen. To easily understand the layers, if the layer is placed on above another layer it means that the image or effects placed on the layer above will also appear on top of the other image. You can test it buy dragging the layer into the lowest area and you will see the image will appear behind all the other layers.

Using Photoshop Brushes

One of the best features of Photoshop CS4 is the Photoshop Brushes. Brushes can turn your images or photos into a simple or creative designed image. All you have to do is to click on the BRUSH TOOL (8th icon in the left tab of Photoshop) and start using the brush. You can choose different kinds of brushes and in different settings you want.

These are only some of the features that free photo editing software doesn’t have. Some photo editing software could have these features but it would be harder to understand and use. In other words Adobe Photoshop CS4 is still the best in the market when it comes to photo editing.
